THOMAS

Thomas Lim is the CEO of TLC Events. He is based in Singapore and heads the specialist team that focuses on business development, project management and marketing for both clients and suppliers. He has been working very closely with TLC Event’s sister company MICE Neurol and has conceptualised and executed numerous major events that revolve around or include gamification components.

 

With more than 27 years of experience in the Tourism Industry and the Human Resource department, he is highly accomplished and skilled in these respective areas. Thomas commenced his career as a Tour Consultant with Ken-Air Tours & Travel and has cultivated over 13 years of extensive hands-on experience in areas of sales, operations, training, and product development within the travel industry (Leisure & Incentive Travel).

In 2004, Thomas joined Zuji.com as their Manager, Business Development. He oversaw the development of Zuji’s relationships with airline and hotel partners across Asia. Between 2004 and 2005, he successfully accomplished promotional campaigns with all major full-service carriers and low-cost airlines.

 

Thomas has been recognised for his outstanding contributions to the travel industry by winning numerous awards, including the prestigious Model Workers Award in 2000 (awarded by the Ministry of Trade & Industry, Singapore), the Tourism Host of the Year in 1997 and 1998 (awarded by the Singapore Tourism Board) and the Excellence Service Award in 2000 and 2001 (awarded by NATAS). Thomas’ remarkable dedication, consistent delivery, and exceptional client service

skills have set the quality standard for the tourism industry. He has also achieved Top Consultant award for top sales in Asia (awarded by TMS Asia Pacific).

 

Thomas Lim subsequently joined TMS Asia Pacific (TMS) as the General Manager (2006-2012), where he was based in the Singapore Head Office. There, he headed a team of specialist consultants committed to fulfilling the recruitment demands of both clients and candidates. After the Global Financial Crisis (GFC), Thomas and a partner started ACI HR Solutions (ACI), a leading specialist Travel, Tourism and Hospitality HR consultancy firm in Asia Pacific. He at ACI, helmed the position of General Manager, overseeing daily operations of the team. He was also responsible for driving overall commercial strategies, developing special partnerships, and initiating innovative business initiatives for both TMS and ACI.

JOANN

Joann entered the advertising agency as a Graphic Designer and later joined Saatchi & Saatchi in 1994 as an Account Coordinator. With her meticulous personality, Joann flourished in ensuring that projects are delivered on time. Her hands-on understanding of both creative technicalities and servicing processes is a vital aspect in achieving seamless and efficient workflow. Joann has serviced employer branding accounts such as DBS, LTA, Siemens, NTUC Fairprice, Citibank, Sembcorp Design. She has also been exposed to mainstream account servicing such as Singapore Police Force, Swensen’s and Crocodile with occasional involvement in events management, account pitching and tender bidding. At Lins Ad, she handles mainly government accounts such as HDB, NEA, CCCS, MCI, AIC, including assisting in accounts like S’pore Discovery Centre, GNC and NCS

DAVID

David has more than 20 years of experience in extensive sales & marketing as well as business development in the hospitality and tourism industry in Asia. Prior to his previous appointment in Myanmar Airways, he led teams in Southeast Asian premier hotels and worked in public-listed companies, MNCs, SMEs and start-up enterprises. David's vocational experience in the hunter role and account management has allowed him to further challenge and improve his skill sets along the way.

 

Humility and perceptiveness are two of many terrific qualities of David, who is a dynamic team player with a positive learning attitude. With his foresight and business acumen, he has proven to be a valuable asset to any organisation he is in.

With the advantage of his vast network in Asia and his brilliant e-commerce portfolio, David is privy to the benefit of understanding and surveying the regional market. He is infinitely capable of offering solutions to both internal and external clients, and he is most certainly a results-oriented and astute team player.

CINDY

Cindy Chua is a Project Manager at TLC Events. Currently based in Singapore, she is an integral part of the specialist team that is committed to fulfilling the event demands of both clients and suppliers.

 

As a dedicated professional, Cindy is multilingual and has a wealth of experience in the Executive Search, Hospitality and MICE industries.

 

Beginning her career over 2 decades ago in Singapore with travel agencies, event, and car rental companies, she subsequently joined an International 5* Hotel. There, she furthered her experience in the Hospitality industry, where she was Regional Sales Manager (first based in Singapore, then in Macao) of the pre-opening team of Venetian Macao in 2007. She would later take part in another pre-opening project, the iconic Marina Bay Sands, with her last role being Senior Executive Host – International Marketing. In 2010, Cindy advanced her career by taking her rich experience into Executive Search, a leading specialist Travel, Tourism and Hospitality HR consultancy firm in Asia Pacific. Managing the needs of ACI's Hospitality and Lifestyle clients across the Asian region, she has proven to be committed and dedicated to clients and candidates.

 

Cindy has a proven track record of delivering results and exceeding expectations. Now, she continues to do so, consistently bringing her expansive knowledge and wealth of experience to TLC Events.

After graduation from high school in Canada (2007), Kenneth returned to Singapore for National Service, and after, started a virtual tour guide system that was later acquired.

​

He went on the study Centium’s Event Management system and acquired rights to use the system.

​

Between July 2016 to now, he has chalked up more than 20,000 accrediting, & credentialing of events.

KENNETH

ILYASAA

Creative, meticulous, and resourceful - these are just a few of the many adjectives that describes Ilyasaa. With more than 8 years of industry experience under his belt, Ilyasaa is well versed in digital media, tech, event, and marketing. Ilyasaa is also a strong advocator of change and someone who wants to foster a strong performance culture through better communication and teamwork. Ilyasaa has had a good track record of having helmed successful corporate and media events in Singapore and regionally.

Ilyasaa holds a Bachelor of Communication (Mass Communication) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) and an NICF Diploma in Infocomm Sales & Marketing from Lithan Hall Academy (WDA-IDA Certification).

LAWRENCE

A motivated and results oriented Sales & Marketing professional with over 20 years of distinguished performance in the media and advertising field.

Worked with Singapore's largest multi-platform media organisation spanning Radio, TV, Digital Publishing and OOH. Notable breakthroughs such as bringing on board top brands from India, Japan, UAE etc. on Channel NewsAsia and contributing to Singtel's Hawkers Heroes “Gordon Ramsay" campaign that won a total of 8 awards.

20 years of media journey includes working for publisher - Reader’s Digest Asia, global TV Network- Sony Pictures Television International and MediaPlus (global media representative) has helped made significant inroads into content localisation and rapid expansion of local sales presence in Key Asian markets .

Having experienced working in both local and regional markets with proven records, leading his team and working closely with customers to increase revenue growth and delivering the brand experience in a dynamic and highly competitive environment in APAC. 

Lawrence is an effective negotiator with the ability to identify and promote strategic relationships across a broad range of business.
